OUR WINES & FOOD
Contrary to what many people believe, northern Ohio’s climate and soils are well suited for growing fine wines, particularly white wine producing varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, and Riesling. The noble red Pinot Noir grape of France’s Burgundy region also performs well in this part of the world. Vermilion Valley Vineyards includes all of these plus six additional varieties, each one grown to exploit fully its long-demonstrated capacity to produce excellent results. We also make wine from other kinds of fruits, among the most popular being blueberry, cherry, strawberry, and plum. For individuals who prefer wines made from “labrusca” type grapes, we offer Concord, Pink Catawba, and Niagara from other Ohio vineyards.

Our Food:
We believe that the best food is local food. Vermilion Valley Vineyards' menu has been specially designed so that to the fullest extent possible it may be sourced from our own gardens, local farms, orchards, markets, and boutique producers.
